Mehl Building

This historic three-story brick commercial office building is located at the intersection of Henderson Street and West Magnolia Avenue.  Built in 1914,  it first housed B. Max Mehl’s Numismatic Company of Texas, a world-renowned numismatist whose clients included Winston Churchill and President Roosevelt.  With the numismatic company having most of the ground floor, the remainder of was occupied by a retail shop.  The upper two floors housed five apartments.  Abandoned by its former owners and listed as one of the most endangered historical properties in Fort Worth, Boothe Architects, Inc., was retained to develop and restore the historical significance of this landmark and upgrade to modern building code requirements.  Today the building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and houses several medical and legal offices.
