Hulen Street Church

Boothe Architects was commissioned by Hulen Street Baptist Church to design a 15,600 sq. ft. addition to the existing religious campus that includes a multi-use lobby, classrooms and new church offices. The exterior has modern aspects while matching the existing building materials. The entrance lobby was designed utilizing oversized storefront fenestrations to yield a sense of “welcomeness” by creating a large open space for various church functions.

As part of their continuing efforts to expand their presents within the neighborhood and provide a positive influence among the youth of the community, the Hulen Street Baptist Church awarded Boothe Architects with the Phase II of the existing religious campus – the Remodeling of the original 10,500 square foot sanctuary into K-12 educational facility that includes a nursery and indoor play area.  The facility also features a Warming Kitchen for daily catered lunchtime foods program given to each attending child and doubles as an event kitchen.
