Senior HomesSyle Living is a planned as a family friendly Assisted Living Facility for the lower intensity facilities provided for under the Type B facility of the Texas Department of Aging & Disability (DADS).  These are limited to 16 occupants per building and the project is planned for a total of 10 units with a central kitchen serving all of the buildings.

Units are designed similar to suite hotels with a kitchenette in each unit.  Each unit is fully handicap accessible and each building is provided with an emergency generator.  In addition to the main units the project includes four-plex units for seniors who are not ready for assisted living but are tired of maintaining a single family home.

Because this site is next to a small lake the decision was made to utilize a Florida style exterior design using warm tones and wood style detailing with a lot of windows, walking paths and landscaping.  All construction techniques and materials were selected to maximize the maintenance factors, sustainability and energy efficiency of construction, mechanical and electrical systems and lighting utilizing primarily LED systems.
